“We could easily see a headline about the opening of the Armenian-Turkish border in tomorrow morning’s news.” According to Sputnik Armenia, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan made this statement at the Warsaw Security Forum.

“We are normalizing our relations with Turkey. The border is still closed, but I believe the process has matured considerably,” he said.

The minister stated that peace with Azerbaijan is already a reality. Mirzoyan emphasized that Armenia is determined to improve relations with its neighboring countries regardless of circumstances, and that this is in no way connected to the country’s European aspirations.
